The Boston Bruins made several moves during this past summer. Yet, their biggest off-season move was re-signing forward Morgan Geekie to a six-year, $33 million contract.

BOSTON — The news could have been bad. The Bruins called up Jonathan Aspirot on Monday to give them depth on defense for their road trip to Ottawa after placing Hampus Lindholm retroactively on injured reserve. So when they activated Lindholm on Tuesday, Aspirot could have been sent back to Providence.
